About Franca Charity Home.
We believe every child deserves a future. Our founder Franca Davies saw children dying of starvation and wracked with disease after the end of the Covid-19. So, in 2021, she launched the Franca Charity Home Fund to raise much-needed funds to end children’s suffering in Ghana and beyond.
Today, over 4 years later, we work in Ghana and around the world to give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. When crisis strikes and children are most vulnerable, we are always among the first to respond and the last to leave. We do whatever it takes for children - every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and the future we share.
Love
In the Bible there's a story of an orphan girl named Hadassah. After her parents died, her cousin took her in. She grew up to become queen—we know her as Esther—and God used her to save the Jewish people. “Who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14). You can provide holistic, Gospel-centered daily care, education, and discipleship to orphaned and vulnerable children in developing countries
Compassion
The Compassion Orphanage in Ghana was set up 4 years ago by Franca Davies. They adopted a child with severe learning and physical disabilities who had been abandoned in the maternity where Franca worked as a nurse midwife. Because of their extraordinary love and generosity they took in more children after the first adopted child died, while looking after their own three children.

Last year, one of our members visited a school in Agona, Ashanti region of Ghana which we had been helping by contributing to the improvement of the orphan education environment present there.

Working together to make a difference
Sep. 15th 34‘Ehangu’ in Welsh means to expand. Over the past eighteen months it has been incredible to see the Ehangu project expand and grow from the initial vision of the Early Learning Community in Bettws Newport (BELC), who wanted to share their learning about place-based change in another part of Wales.
